History
Settepani Restaurant
Founded, owned and operated by Ethiopian-Eritrean immigrant Leah Abraham, and her Sicilian husband Chef Nino Settepani, Settepani Restaurant offers contemporary Italian-Mediterranean cuisine. (Although, don’t be surprised if you see some Ethiopian influence on the menu!)
The Settepani brand was first started in the form of an Italian bakery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 1990 (learn more about the bakery here). However, Leah and Chef Nino wanted to bring their idea of cuisine to more neighborhoods, and in new ways. Thus, Settepani Restaurant in Harlem was born.
Besides exceptional cuisine and service, Settepani Restaurant offers a meeting place for neighborhood families as well as professionals to gather day or night. Read more about their Harlem location in the New York Times

Quality makes the difference.
Leah and Chef Nino believe in building a healthy community, sourcing only the highest quality organic and local ingredients (where able) for every dish.

Made fresh daily.
While the menu is contemporary and innovative, Chef Nino’s methods are rooted in tradition, with homemade pastas and pizzas that transport your taste buds to Italy (or nonna’s table).

Family owned and operated.
Founded in 2000, Settepani Restaurant has been operated by Leah and her team ever since.
