Roots
Settepani Specialties
The art of Italian breads and pastries is a true labor of love, and at Settepani, it's a whole family affair. Chef Nino Settepani moved from Sicily to New York City at a young age, working in bakeries before starting his own over 30 years ago. He is now teaching his specialties to his daughter Bilena, who in return provides a younger, more innovative approach to baking (like with their flavored panettone). But the family affair doesn't stop there–together with his wife Leah and son Seyoum, they make sure that the stores run smoothly!

Sicilian Specialties
Growing up in the small Sicilian town of Vetimiglia Di Sicilia, Chef Nino has nostalgic memories of his hometown delicacies, especially during the holidays. This year, Chef Nino (and his daughter Bilena) returned to visit his cousin Rosario at Panificio Bondi and learn the technique behind these Sicilian classics.
